Tank A Day: Front-end

August 4th, 2008 by Makis

A kids site with a learning spin, Tank A Day uniquely entertains, educates on water saving and promotes the products of Bluescope. When the website was going to be upgraded I handled the front-end side.

The new interface has a basic XHTML-CSS structure. As always I tried to keep it as clean and obvious as possible. The new web 2.0 look gave me the freedom to actually apply some of the common CSS techniques. On the side there was also some flash development involved for the scroller in the homepage and some other elements in the administration area.

The careers website for UnitingCare Children Young People and Families Services.

I’ve created the XHTML and CSS parts of this website according to the client’s designs.
I enjoyed building this colorful website. Although the layout is similar through out the pages, each section is loading a each own CSS in order to give the different coloration.

CommonCode.info

June 13th, 2008 by Makis

This website had been online for a while now but was never promoted as a resource site and was mainly used as a private tool for my online work. Now its been styled visually and released as a public service:

It is basically a database of code snippets I’ve gathered throughout the years of programming. Most of this code was resourced online at some point in the past so I’m simply putting online all that knowledge in one central place.

But on the development side I just created a skin for MediaWiki, to make the whole experience more comfortable.
