Lifestyle at the Park ~ New website (members)

November 21st, 2007 by Maria

The employees, residents and students within the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct and neighbouring areas can enjoy the advantages of the “Lifestyle at the Park” membership, with exclusive offers, discounts, priority and convenient access to a diverse range of facilities, services, courses, activities and events in and around the Park. The website also provides information about what’s on as well as job opportunities in the surrounding area.

I’ve created the HTML/CSS parts of this lifeful, portal-like website.

The pages contain multiple dynamic elements that constantly change and all of the content is multilingual (English and Chinese) which made the development indeed challenging!

FUNside

November 17th, 2007 by Makis

Found the time to do a visual makeover on Fun Side, a personal notebook about various subjects resourced from the web.

I wanted a site that followed the main Web 2.0 directives, with bright colors but not too “cartoony”. The content here is the most important feature so that had to be in the spotlight.

I also wanted it designed with current standards, which was tedious work due to the fact that the site was originally running on Joomla. I ended up modifying a lot of Joomla’s core files. It wasn’t a good experience and I ended up using the more elegant WordPress platform instead.

Of course all of the content is written by me as well, which is an on-going effort…
